2015
Shenkuo was founded in 2015, and since then, we have championed principles that prioritize people, innovation, and team diversity. We were inspired by the historical figure Shen Kuo. Born in 1031, Shen Kuo was a scientist who invented the concept of True North, the Magnetic Compass, and many other things. He was also a revolutionary politician who believed success could only come from team diversity.
Our main asset is our people and relationships, which we nurture through care, patience, and dedicated effort. Our human-scale firm is committed to investing in our consultants' growth. We pride ourselves on creating an exciting learning environment that favors strong relationship-building and where every consultant's voice (from juniors to partners) is valued.

Our acquisition by YCP Group in 2024 is a welcome integration, further validating our company's founding tenets and how we do business in the management consulting space. Integrating with YCP Group, and now operating as YCP Shenkuo, will bring to life a global vision where we seek to do the best we can for our clients and the success of their businesses.
This integration combines the best of both worlds: our unique perspectives and approach to problem-solving and the global network of our new parent company.
